How to Copy a GoFullPage Screenshot to the Clipboard

Copy a finished GoFullPage capture from its result tab, using Copy Image or a keyboard shortcut. Learn what to do when the capture is split into pages.

To copy a GoFullPage screenshot, open its completed capture in the result tab, right-click the screenshot, and choose Copy Image. GoFullPage’s guide also lists Ctrl+C on Windows and Command+C on Mac. Then paste into your destination app. [GoFullPage’s right-click menu guide]

Copy the completed screenshot

  1. Open the webpage you want to capture.
  2. Activate GoFullPage from the browser toolbar. The extension’s guide also lists Alt+Shift+P as a shortcut.
  3. Wait for the full-page capture to finish. GoFullPage opens the result in a new tab.
  4. In that result tab, right-click the screenshot and select Copy Image. Alternatively, use Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac.
  5. Switch to the app or document where you want the image and paste it.

The copy action applies to the screenshot in the result tab, not the original webpage. If the context menu differs in your installed version, check the extension’s current interface; the published guide dates from June 2021. [GoFullPage guide]

When GoFullPage splits a long capture

Very long captures may be divided into multiple image pages. Right-click the page you need and use that page’s copy option. You can repeat this for other pages if you need the entire capture in separate pieces. The guide describes page-level copy options; it does not promise that every destination app will accept every copied image in the same way.

Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause What to try
There is no screenshot to copy. You are still on the source page or the capture has not finished opening. Wait for GoFullPage to complete, then switch to the result tab.
The browser menu does not show “Copy Image.” The click may be on the page background rather than the screenshot, or the installed interface may differ. Right-click directly on the screenshot image. Check the extension’s guide and installed version if the label is still absent.
The shortcut does not copy the image. The browser or destination may handle keyboard shortcuts differently, or focus may be on another element. Click the screenshot first, then try the documented platform shortcut or use the context menu.
Only part of a very long capture is available. The capture may have been split into multiple image pages. Use the copy option on each relevant page in the result view.
The destination app does not accept the paste. Clipboard support varies by receiving application. Try another destination or use the result page’s save-as-image option, then import the saved file. GoFullPage’s guide distinguishes saving from copying.

Availability and installation

GoFullPage’s September 14, 2026 announcement says its official extension was restored to the Chrome Web Store and was also available through official Edge and Firefox extensions. It advises installing through official links because unofficial versions appeared while the Chrome listing was unavailable. The announcement describes its beta as potentially receiving features before they are fully tested and recommends the official extension for the most stable experience. The Chrome Web Store listing showed version 8.9, updated September 25, 2026, when checked for this article. That release information is context only; it is not needed to use the copy action. [Chrome Web Store listing]

Or skip the browser setup

If you need screenshots in a script or service, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request returns an image or PDF; see the API documentation.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);

ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, popups and chat widgets before the shot. Bot checks, blank pages and failed loads are never billed, and an MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, no card required.

FAQ

Does copying happen from the original webpage?

No. Copy from the completed screenshot in GoFullPage’s result tab.

Can I copy just one page of a split capture?

Yes. Use the context menu’s copy option for the specific image page you want.

Does paste work in every app?

The GoFullPage guide explains the copy action but does not guarantee clipboard behavior for every receiving application. If paste fails, try another app or save the image and import it.
