Distill.io pricing: What do the paid plans include?
Compare Distill.io’s Free, Starter, Professional, Flexi, and Enterprise options, including checks, intervals, alerts, and billing details.
Direct answer: Distill lists Starter at $15/month, Professional at $35/month, and Flexi at $80+/month. Free is $0, while Enterprise is quote-based. The paid tiers mainly increase monitor capacity, cloud check volume, minimum check frequency, alert allowances, and automation features. The figures below are from Distill’s pricing materials reviewed on October 3, 2026; confirm the live pricing page and checkout before buying because plan details can change.
Distill plan comparison
Distill monitors selected parts or all of a webpage, checks for changes locally or in its cloud, and can send alerts when configured conditions are met. Its pricing matrix distinguishes cloud limits from local monitoring. “Checks/month” is a metered operation count, not a promise of a number of alerts.
| Plan | Listed price | Monitors | Minimum cloud interval | Cloud checks/month | Devices | Email/webhook alerts | Phone push alerts | Cloud macros | Local macro actions | Version history |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 25 (5 cloud) | 6 hours | 1,000 | 2 | 30/month, email only | 100/month | No | No | No |
| Starter | $15/month | 50 | 10 minutes | 30,000 | 3 | 2,000/month | Unlimited | Yes | No | 10 changes |
| Professional | $35/month | 150 | 5 minutes | 100,000 | 3 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Yes | 100 | 20 changes |
| Flexi | $80+/month | 500+ | 2 minutes | 200,000+ | 4+ | Unlimited | Unlimited | Yes | 300+ | 20 changes |
These are the quantities shown in Distill’s [pricing matrix](https://distill.io/pricing/). Email actions are counted across cloud and browser-extension monitors. The matrix includes SMS as a notification type, but the retrieved materials do not establish included SMS quantities for each tier.
What the limits mean
Cloud checks are metered by duration
Distill says a cloud check lasting up to 10 seconds counts as one check. A check taking more than 10 and less than 20 seconds counts as two. Therefore, a slow page can consume the monthly allowance faster than a quick page, and the monthly check figure should not be read as an alert quota. Unused allocations expire at the end of the billing period. See the [pricing FAQ](https://distill.io/pricing/).
Cloud and local intervals are different
The interval column above is the plan’s minimum for cloud monitoring. Local monitors run through a browser or device and Distill’s features page describes local intervals as short as five seconds. A local interval does not mean the cloud plan can check at the same rate. Local monitoring also depends on the device and browser being available. See [Distill features](https://distill.io/features/).
Alerts, macros, and history
Alert categories have separate limits. The table’s email/webhook quantity should not be combined with phone-push limits. Starter and above include cloud macros; the listed local macro-action allowance begins with Professional. History records changes, with Starter listing 10 and Professional and Flexi listing 20. Check current plan terms for how your specific macro and alert workflow is counted.
Flexi overages
Flexi’s $80+ base price includes a resource reservation, and usage beyond that reservation is billed at the end of the period. The listed extra-use rates are $1 per 20 monitors, $1 per 4,000 cloud checks, $1 per 10 SMS, $1 per 10 local macro actions, and $15 per device. These are published rates, not an estimate for a particular workload. Model your usage before selecting Flexi.
Which Distill plan should you choose?
| Your need | Plan to evaluate | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Try monitoring or watch a small number of low-priority pages | Free | 25 monitors, including 5 cloud monitors, but cloud checks have a six-hour minimum interval and 1,000 monthly checks. |
| More cloud monitoring with a 10-minute minimum cadence | Starter | 50 monitors and 30,000 cloud checks per month; includes cloud macros and 10 changes of history. |
| Faster cloud cadence and larger allowance | Professional | Five-minute minimum, 100,000 checks, listed unlimited email/webhook and push quantities, and local macro actions. |
| High volume, faster cadence, or additional resources | Flexi | Two-minute minimum and 200,000+ checks, with a base allocation and metered additional use. |
| Shared organizational workspace, API management, invoicing, or priority support | Enterprise | Distill describes enterprise capabilities separately; request a quote because no fixed public price was established. |
Distill’s feature set includes XPath, CSS, and regular-expression selectors, custom JavaScript, conditions, Slack, Discord and Microsoft Teams integrations, and webhooks. It also lists browser extensions, mobile apps, PDF and private-page tracking, import/export, and API access for developers and teams on request. Availability can depend on plan and setup. See [Distill’s features page](https://distill.io/features/).
Annual billing, upgrades, and cancellation
Distill’s pricing page displays a 20% annual-discount label. Its billing guide says annual billing is available for Starter and Professional, but the reviewed page extract did not establish the annual totals. Do not calculate an annual charge from the label alone; confirm the amount, currency, and tax in checkout. [Billing and Payments](https://distill.io/docs/web-monitor/billing/)
- Monthly billing recurs monthly; annual billing covers 12 months.
- Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated; downgrades generally take effect in the next billing cycle.
- Cancellation is available in account billing settings, and access remains through the current billing period.
- Starter and Professional subscriptions bought through the iOS App Store are monthly and must be managed through Apple. Flexi is not available through the App Store.
- The billing guide describes limited refunds for qualifying service failures within the prior seven days when usage is below 10% of available resources; unused time and partial months are not refunded. Check the current policy before relying on a refund.
Estimate the plan you need
- Count the pages you want monitored and how many need cloud monitoring. Compare the total and cloud subset to the monitor caps.
- Set the slowest acceptable detection time. Compare it to the minimum cloud interval, and account for pages whose checks take longer than 10 seconds.
- Estimate monthly cloud checks, not just pages. A page checked more frequently consumes more checks, and longer checks may count as multiple units.
- List alert channels and expected volume separately: email/webhook, phone push, and SMS are not interchangeable quotas.
- Check whether you need cloud macros, local macro actions, version history, multiple devices, or team procurement features.
- For Flexi, include likely overages in the estimate. For annual billing, confirm the actual checkout total.
Common pricing questions and problems
Why did my checks run out before the month ended?
Cloud checks are consumed by monitor activity, and a check over 10 seconds can use more than one unit. Review the number of cloud monitors, their intervals, and page response times; compare the resulting usage with the plan allowance.
Why can’t I select a faster cloud interval?
The selected tier sets a minimum cloud interval. Free allows six hours, Starter 10 minutes, Professional five minutes, and Flexi two minutes according to the reviewed matrix. Local checks are a separate mode with separate device requirements.
Why does my expected annual price differ?
The 20% discount label does not itself state the exact total, and taxes or regional checkout details may affect the amount. Confirm the displayed billing term and final amount at checkout.
Why is an alert quota different from the check quota?
Checks and notifications are distinct resources. A check may not result in an alert, and alert allowances are separated by channel. Consult the current pricing matrix for the channel you use.
Why is Flexi more expensive than its base price?
Flexi can bill for resource use beyond its included reservation at period end. Compare expected monitors, checks, SMS, macro actions, and devices with the listed incremental rates.
Why can’t my team find an Enterprise price?
Enterprise is offered through a quote rather than a fixed public amount in the reviewed materials. Contact Distill with the workspace, API, user, support, and expected-monitor requirements.
Reliability and cost considerations
A plan’s interval and check allowance define capacity, not guaranteed alert delivery or a guarantee that a target website will always be reachable. Local monitoring depends on a running browser/device; cloud monitoring runs on Distill’s servers. Account for target-site availability, page load time, and the possibility that checks consume extra units when they exceed 10 seconds. For Flexi, overage billing makes usage forecasting especially important. Distill’s terms reserve the right to change prices or features, so recheck current terms before purchase. Or skip the browser setup
If your goal is to capture a webpage as an image or PDF rather than monitor changes over time, ScreenshotNeo is the alternative to try first: it returns screenshots or PDFs from one API request, removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture, and bills only clean shots. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed; response headers indicate the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients use screenshot tools. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. It is for screenshot capture, not ongoing change monitoring.
Install no browser automation stack for a basic capture. Set an API key and use the same request from cURL, Python, or Node.js:
cURL
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://distill.io/pricing/ -o distill-pricing.webp
Python
import requests
r = requests.get(
"https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://distill.io/pricing/"},
timeout=90,
)
r.raise_for_status()
open("distill-pricing.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
Node.js
const q = new URLSearchParams({
access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY',
url: 'https://distill.io/pricing/'
});
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`ScreenshotNeo returned ${res.status}`);
await import('node:fs/promises').then(fs => fs.writeFile('distill-pricing.webp', Buffer.from(await res.arrayBuffer())));
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for output and configuration options. The API also supports full-page or element capture, device and viewport settings, waiting, custom headers and cookies, PDF output, async jobs, bulk requests, and other capture options.
