How to Take a Full Screenshot of an Ecommerce Product Page with FireShot

Capture an entire ecommerce product page with FireShot, check lazy-loaded content, and save the result as an image or PDF.

To capture an entire ecommerce product page with FireShot, open the page, click the FireShot toolbar button, choose Capture entire page (or the full-page option), review the result, then save it as PNG, JPEG, or PDF. Menu wording can vary by browser and extension version. FireShot also lists visible-area and selection capture modes. Chrome Web Store listing · Firefox Add-ons listing

1. Install FireShot and open the product page

  1. Install FireShot from your browser’s official extension store and pin it to the toolbar so it is easy to find.
  2. Open the ecommerce product detail page you want to capture. If it has product photos or sections that load as you scroll, scroll down the page first and check that they have appeared. This can help expose deferred content, but it cannot guarantee that every site will load it before capture.
  3. If the page requires an account, sign in through the site’s normal flow before capturing. Check that the details you need are visible to you; FireShot cannot make protected or unavailable content appear.

2. Capture the whole page

  1. Click the FireShot icon in the browser toolbar.
  2. Choose Capture entire page or the similarly named full-page option.
  3. Wait for the capture and preview to finish. Review the top, middle, and bottom of the result, especially product images, variant details, shipping information, and reviews.
  4. If content is missing or the page changed while capturing, return to the product page, let it settle, scroll to load relevant sections, and capture again.

Choose Visible area if you only need the currently displayed viewport. Choose Selection if you need a specific region and the installed version offers that mode. These are different capture scopes: neither should be treated as a full-page capture.

3. Save as an image or PDF

FireShot’s store listings describe PDF, PNG, and JPEG output. Choose PNG when you want crisp interface details, JPEG when a smaller photographic image is more useful, or PDF for a document you can share or print. The basic feature summary lists these formats; searchable text and active links in PDFs, annotations, editing, and some additional export options are listed as Pro features. Check your installed version for the available choices and current plan terms. Chrome Web Store listing · FireShot vendor site · FireShot Pro feature page

4. Check the capture before sharing

  • Confirm the page header and footer are present if you intended to capture the whole page.
  • Check that product images, selected options, price, and any important product details are visible.
  • Look for blank image areas, repeated sections, or content cut off near sticky headers and floating controls.
  • Make sure the output format suits its use: image for a visual record, PDF for sharing or printing, and a Pro PDF option if searchable text or active links are required.

Product pages vary. Lazy-loaded images, sticky controls, login-gated details, and pages that load more products or reviews as you scroll can affect what appears. The documented FireShot features do not guarantee a complete result for every dynamic page, so review the actual output.

5. If you do not want an extension

Firefox Developer Tools can capture a full page or an individual element. See Mozilla’s screenshot tool documentation for that browser’s built-in route.

Or skip the browser setup

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Send one GET request for a product page URL and save the returned image. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);

Replace the example URL with the product page you are allowed to access. ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before the shot. Bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card.

Troubleshooting

What you see Likely cause What to try
The capture only contains the visible viewport The visible-area mode was selected instead of full page. Open the FireShot menu again and choose Capture entire page or its full-page equivalent.
Some product images are blank Images may load only when scrolled into view, or may not have finished loading. Scroll through the page, wait for images to appear, then capture again and inspect the result.
A section is missing or repeated The page may update dynamically during capture, or load more content as you scroll. Let the page settle, scroll through the relevant areas, and retry. Review the output because site-specific behavior is not guaranteed.
The capture is unexpectedly short The page may not have loaded its lower sections, or the selected capture mode may be limited. Check the page itself by scrolling to the bottom, then retry with the full-page mode.
You cannot find a PDF, annotation, or searchable-text option Availability can depend on the installed version or plan. Check the extension’s current menu and plan details. The listings describe searchable text and active links in PDFs and annotation/editing as Pro features.

Performance, reliability, and cost

For a single page, the practical workflow is to let the page finish loading, expose any scroll-loaded content, capture, and verify the output. Long or dynamic pages may need another attempt if they change during capture. The cited feature listings do not provide a comparative speed or quality benchmark, so there is no evidence-based basis here to promise a particular capture time or result on every store.

FireShot’s Chrome listing describes basic capture and export features and identifies additional Pro features. Check the listing or vendor’s current plan details before relying on a paid-only option; exact plan terms are not established by the feature summary here. The browser’s built-in Firefox route is another option if you use Firefox and prefer not to install an extension.

FAQ

Can I capture only the product image and description?

Use FireShot’s selection mode if your installed version provides it. For a browser-native alternative, Firefox Developer Tools can capture an individual element.

Does a full-page screenshot include content behind a login?

Capture what the page displays in your browser after you sign in through the site’s normal flow. The cited feature listings do not establish that FireShot can access hidden or protected content.

Is a PDF searchable?

The FireShot listing describes searchable text and direct links in PDFs as Pro features. Verify the option in your installed version before depending on it.

Why should I check the preview?

Product pages can load images and sections dynamically. A preview lets you catch missing content before you share or archive the capture.
