How to Capture Full-Page Screenshots on Mobile
Capture a whole webpage or scrolling screen on iPhone, Android, or Samsung Galaxy, with steps for saving and troubleshooting.
Use your phone’s built-in scrolling screenshot controls: on iPhone, take a screenshot and choose Full Page; on Android 12 and up, take a screenshot and tap Capture more where available; on supported Samsung Galaxy devices, choose Scroll capture. Availability depends on the screen, phone model, and software version.
Choose the steps for your phone
| Phone | What to do | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | Take a screenshot, then select Full Page. | Apple describes this for content longer than the screen, such as a webpage in Safari. Save as an image or PDF. |
| Android 12 and up | Take a screenshot, then tap Capture more and adjust the crop guides. | Available on most screens that allow scrolling, not necessarily every app or screen. |
| Samsung Galaxy | Take a screenshot, then choose Scroll capture in the screenshot toolbar if it appears. | Appears when scrolling is possible; availability varies by model and software version. |
Capture a full webpage on iPhone
- Open the page you want to capture. In Safari, scroll to the part of the webpage you want to start from.
- Take a screenshot. On Face ID models, quickly press and release the Side button and Volume Up together. On models with a Home button, quickly press and release the Side button and Home button together.
- Tap the screenshot preview or open its controls, then select Full Page.
- Review the long-page preview. Crop it if needed.
- Choose Save to Photos for an image, or Save PDF to Files for a PDF.
Apple describes Full Page for content longer than the iPhone screen, including an entire webpage in Safari. If you do not see the option, the current screen or content may not support it. See Apple’s [Take a screenshot on iPhone](https://support.apple.com/en-mo/guide/iphone/iphc872c0115/ios) guide for the device instructions.
Take a scrolling screenshot on Android
- Open the content and position it at the top of the area you want to capture.
- Press Power and Volume Down together to take a screenshot.
- When the screenshot controls appear, tap Capture more.
- Drag the crop guides to include the content you need, then save the screenshot.
Google documents this workflow for Android 12 and up on most screens that allow scrolling. The button may not appear in an app or on content that does not support the feature. For current steps, see Google’s [Android screenshot help](https://support.google.com/android/answer/9075928?hl=en-GB).
Use Scroll capture on Samsung Galaxy
- Open the page or screen and take a screenshot using your Galaxy device’s screenshot controls.
- Look for Scroll capture in the toolbar that appears.
- Tap it to extend the capture as the page scrolls. Continue until you have included the section you need, then save.
The control is offered when scrolling is possible, but Samsung says feature availability varies by model and software version. If you cannot find it, check the instructions for your specific Galaxy device. See Samsung’s [screen recording and capture guide](https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001616/).
Save and share the result
Pick the output that fits the next step:
- Image: Best for sharing in messages, attaching to a ticket, or keeping a visual reference. On iPhone, choose Save to Photos when offered.
- PDF: Useful when you need a document-style capture. On iPhone, choose Save PDF to Files.
Before sharing, review the full preview and crop out unrelated content. Long captures can include more than the visible screen, including personal information farther down the page.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely reason | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Full Page is missing on iPhone | The current screen or content may not offer a full-page capture. | Try the webpage in Safari, take a new screenshot, and check its controls. Apple’s documented example is an entire Safari webpage. |
| Capture more does not appear on Android | The device may be running an older Android version, or the current screen may not support scrolling capture. | Check that the phone runs Android 12 or later and try a screen that can scroll. Google qualifies support as most scrollable screens. |
| Scroll capture is missing on Galaxy | Availability depends on the Galaxy model, software version, and whether the screen can scroll. | Try a scrollable page and consult the instructions for the exact model and software version. |
| The capture does not include the whole page | The capture may have stopped before the end, or the selected crop may exclude content. | Review the long preview or crop guides before saving; extend the capture if the controls allow it. |
| The saved file is the wrong format | The save destination or output choice may differ by platform. | On iPhone, choose Save to Photos for an image or Save PDF to Files for a PDF. |
Or skip the browser setup
If you need screenshots of webpages from code rather than from your phone, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request returns a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. It can accept cookie banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and the response indicates the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for AI agents.
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options and setup.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests
r = requests.get(
"https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"},
timeout=90,
)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`Screenshot request failed: ${res.status}`);
await Bun.write('shot.webp', res);
These examples capture a webpage from a server-side request. ScreenshotNeo also supports full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS selector capture, viewport and device presets, PDF settings, waits, custom CSS and JavaScript, request blocking, custom headers and cookies, caching, signed image links, async jobs, bulk capture, and a usage API. Plans include 1,000 screenshots per month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000, and every feature is on every plan.
