How to Take a Full Webpage Screenshot in Chrome on a Motorola Phone

Use Chrome’s Long screenshot on a Motorola phone, or try Android’s Capture more fallback if the browser option is missing.

To capture a full webpage in Chrome on a Motorola phone, open the page, tap More beside the address bar, choose Share, then tap Long screenshot. Drag the crop handles to include the part of the page you want and tap Confirm. You can then save the screenshot or share it with another app. Menu wording and availability can vary by Chrome version.

Use Chrome’s Long screenshot

  1. Open the webpage in Chrome on your Motorola phone. Let it load before capturing.
  2. Tap More beside the address bar.
  3. Tap Share.
  4. Choose Long screenshot.
  5. Drag the crop handles to cover the page area you need.
  6. Tap Confirm, then save the screenshot or share it with a person or app.

This is Chrome’s browser-specific route. The captured area is the portion inside the crop handles, so check both ends before confirming. Google documents this flow for Chrome on Android; the exact labels or availability can differ with your installed version.

If Long screenshot is missing: try Android’s Capture more

Android has a separate system scrolling screenshot on devices running Android 12 or later, on most screens that allow scrolling:

  1. Open the webpage or other scrollable content.
  2. Press Power and Volume down at the same time.
  3. Tap Capture more at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Adjust the crop guides to include the content you need.
  5. Save or share the resulting screenshot using the controls shown on your phone.

This Android system option is distinct from Chrome’s Share > Long screenshot feature. Android notes that Capture more works on most scrollable screens, not every screen. Button behavior and screenshot controls can also vary by phone and Android version. If the instructions do not match your Motorola, check Motorola support for your exact model.

Choose the right method

Method Where it starts Documented availability
Chrome Long screenshot Chrome > More > Share Chrome for Android; menu availability and wording may vary by version
Android Capture more Power + Volume down, then Capture more Android 12 and up, on most scrollable screens

Try Chrome’s option first when you specifically want a webpage from Chrome. Use the Android system option if Chrome does not show Long screenshot or if you need to capture scrollable content in another app.

Troubleshooting

Long screenshot does not appear in Share

Chrome may not offer the option in your installed version or for the current page. Check for Chrome updates, then try Android’s Capture more option if your phone runs Android 12 or later. If neither option appears, check Motorola support for your model and software version.

Capture more is missing

The feature is documented for Android 12 and later and most screens that allow scrolling. Confirm your Android version and try it on a page that scrolls. The button sequence can differ by device, so use Motorola’s instructions if the standard controls do not match.

The screenshot stops before the whole page

In Chrome, extend the crop handles before tapping Confirm. With Capture more, adjust the crop guides in the scrolling capture screen. A full-page capture can only include content the capture flow makes available; verify the final image before sharing it.

The button combination does something else

Power and volume controls vary across devices and software versions. Check your Motorola model’s support documentation rather than assuming every model uses identical controls.

Save, share, and check the result

Chrome’s confirmation step lets you save the screenshot to the device or share it with another person or app. Before sending it, open the saved result and check that the selected page area is legible and includes the content you intended to capture. If the recipient needs the page as searchable text or a document rather than an image, use a suitable document or PDF workflow instead of treating a screenshot as a text export.

Or skip the browser setup

If you need webpage screenshots from code or an automated workflow, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request returns an image or PDF. See the API documentation.

FAQ

Does this capture work on every Motorola phone?

Availability and controls depend on the Chrome version, Android release, and phone model. Use Motorola support documentation if your controls differ.

Is Chrome Long screenshot the same as Android Capture more?

No. Long screenshot starts in Chrome’s Share menu. Capture more is Android’s system-level scrolling screenshot option.

Can I use Capture more on any screen?

Android documents it for most screens that allow scrolling on Android 12 and later, so some screens may not support it.
