How to Take a Full Webpage Screenshot in Samsung Internet

Use Scroll Capture on a Galaxy phone to extend a screenshot down a webpage, then save the finished image to Gallery.

To take a full webpage screenshot in Samsung Internet, open the page on your Galaxy phone and press Power + Volume Down. When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll Capture to add the next part of the page. Tap the icon again, or press and hold it to continue farther. Tap outside the toolbar when you are done; Samsung says the screenshot is saved to Gallery.

Take a scrolling screenshot

  1. Open the webpage in Samsung Internet and scroll to the part where you want the capture to begin.
  2. Press the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
  3. When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap its Scroll Capture icon. The page advances and the screenshot grows.
  4. Repeat the tap to capture more of the page. On supported versions, you can press and hold the Scroll Capture icon to keep extending the capture.
  5. Tap outside the toolbar to finish. The screenshot is saved to Gallery.

The page needs to be scrollable for this workflow. Scroll Capture is useful for long articles and webpages because it joins successive screen areas into one longer image.

Turn on the screenshot toolbar

If the toolbar does not appear after you take a screenshot, check the toolbar setting:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder.
  3. Enable Show toolbar after capturing.

On a device that does not show a screen-recording option, Samsung’s instructions say to select Screen capture instead. Menu names and feature availability can vary by device and software version, so the exact labels may differ.

Check the result

Open Gallery and inspect the saved image from top to bottom. Samsung says long captures are automatically resized before saving. The amount added by each Scroll Capture step can vary with page content, such as an embedded player or a large image. Continue capturing as needed and check that the final image includes the sections you want.

Samsung does not specify a universal maximum capture length, file size, or model-by-model availability in the cited guidance. If Scroll Capture is missing or behaves differently, check your device’s settings and software version.

When Scroll Capture cannot capture the page

Some apps apply security policies that disable screenshots. If the phone blocks capture in an app, the built-in workflow may not be able to save that content. Do not assume protected pages can be captured.

If the page is longer than you need, you can stop after any Scroll Capture step. For a page that does not scroll, take a standard screenshot; the documented long-page workflow is for scrollable content.

Or skip the browser setup

For a screenshot you need from a website as a file, ScreenshotNeo offers a screenshot API and MCP server. Its API can return PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF, with a single GET request. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests

r = requests.get(
    "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
    params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"},
    timeout=90,
)
r.raise_for_status()
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`Screenshot request failed: ${res.status}`);
await import('node:fs/promises').then(fs => fs.writeFile('shot.webp', Buffer.from(await res.arrayBuffer())));

ScreenshotNeo removes cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and responses include page-verdict and billing headers. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card.

Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause What to do
No screenshot toolbar Show toolbar after capturing is off, or the setting name differs on this software version. Check Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder and enable the toolbar option if available.
No Scroll Capture icon The page may not be scrollable, or the feature may not be available in that app or device configuration. Try a scrollable webpage in Samsung Internet. Check device settings and software version if the icon remains absent.
The capture stops before the page ends Scroll Capture adds content in steps, and page content can affect how far each step advances. Tap or press and hold the icon again, then inspect the saved image in Gallery.
The screenshot is smaller than expected Samsung says long captures are resized automatically before saving. Check the saved image dimensions and readability; the documented workflow does not guarantee original webpage dimensions.
Screenshot is blocked A security policy in the app can disable screenshots. Respect the restriction; Samsung warns that some protected apps do not permit capture.
