How to Capture a Mobile Website Screenshot on an iPhone SE in India

Capture the visible screen or a full Safari webpage on your iPhone SE, save it, and find it later. The button steps work in India too.

Open the mobile website in Safari. Quickly press and release the Home button and side button at the same time. To capture a long webpage, open the screenshot controls, choose Full Page, then save the result to Photos as an image or to Files as a PDF. The screenshot gesture is the same in India; Apple’s instructions apply to iPhones with a Home button and side button. Apple Support (India): Take a screenshot

Take a screenshot of the visible webpage

  1. Open Safari and enter the website’s address in the search field. Wait for the page to load and position it where you want the screenshot to begin. Apple’s Safari guide
  2. Quickly press and release the Home button and the side button together. Pressing and holding them can trigger a different action, so use a quick press.
  3. Open the screenshot controls to crop, mark up, share, or save the capture. Their appearance depends on iOS: Apple describes a temporary lower-left thumbnail on iOS 18 and earlier, and quick tools on iOS 26. If you do not see the same preview shown in a guide, look for the controls offered by your installed iOS version. Apple Support’s version-specific instructions

This button combination is for iPhone models with a Home button and side button, including the iPhone SE (3rd generation). Apple’s iPhone SE (3rd generation) guide

Capture the entire webpage

A regular screenshot records what is currently visible. To include the webpage beyond the screen, capture it in Safari and choose Full Page in the screenshot controls. Review the page preview if available, then choose where to save it:

  • Save as an image: Choose the option to save the full-page capture to Photos.
  • Save as a PDF: Choose the option to save it to Files. Pick a folder you can find later.

Apple documents full-page screenshots for content such as an entire webpage in Safari, with image and PDF save options. Apple: Take a screenshot on iPhone

If Full Page is not offered, make sure you captured the page in Safari and that the content is one of the supported full-page capture types. A standard visible-screen capture is still available. For a webpage you need to keep in full, use the PDF-to-Files option when it is offered.

Use AssistiveTouch if the buttons are difficult to press

AssistiveTouch provides an on-screen way to trigger a screenshot:

  1. Open Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch.
  2. Turn on AssistiveTouch, then open its menu.
  3. Choose Capture a screenshot.

Apple also lists Siri and the Accessibility Shortcut as ways to turn on AssistiveTouch. The screenshot action is in the AssistiveTouch menu. Apple Support (India): Use AssistiveTouch

Where screenshots are saved

Find screenshots in the Photos app under Collections > Media Types > Screenshots. A full-page capture saved as a PDF goes to the folder you selected in Files, rather than appearing as an ordinary screenshot image in Photos. Apple Support (India): screenshot location

Before you capture

  • Choose the right capture type: Use the regular screenshot for the visible screen; choose Full Page for supported long content in Safari.
  • Set the page position: Scroll to the relevant part before taking a regular screenshot.
  • Try landscape: Rotating Safari to landscape can show more of the page in a visible-screen screenshot. It does not replace Full Page when you need content below the screen. Apple’s Safari guide
  • Decide where it belongs: Use Photos for an image you want to view or share as a picture; use Files for a full-page PDF you want to keep as a document.

Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause What to do
The screenshot does not appear. The buttons may not have been pressed together, or were held instead of quickly pressed and released. Try again with a quick simultaneous press of Home and side. If that is uncomfortable, use AssistiveTouch.
The screenshot preview looks different from instructions. The screenshot interface varies by iOS version. Open the screenshot controls available on your device. Apple describes a lower-left thumbnail for iOS 18 and earlier and quick tools in iOS 26.
There is no Full Page choice. The capture may not be from a supported full-page context, or the controls may not be open. Take the capture while the webpage is open in Safari, then inspect its screenshot controls. Use a regular screenshot if Full Page is unavailable.
I cannot find the image. It may be among other photos or screenshots. In Photos, go to Collections, then Media Types, then Screenshots.
I cannot find the full-page PDF. It was saved to Files rather than Photos, or to a different folder. Open Files and check the folder selected when saving.
Physical buttons are hard to use. The simultaneous button gesture may be inconvenient. Enable AssistiveTouch in Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and choose Capture a screenshot from its menu.

Or skip the browser setup

If you need website screenshots in a developer workflow, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. A single GET request can return an image or PDF. For one URL, this cURL example saves a WebP screenshot:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

Use the same request from Python:

import requests

r = requests.get(
    "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
    params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"},
    timeout=90,
)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)

Or from Node.js:

const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`Screenshot request failed: ${res.status}`);
const image = Buffer.from(await res.arrayBuffer());
await import('node:fs/promises').then(fs => fs.writeFile('shot.webp', image));

See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options and response details. Cookie and consent banners are accepted and removed before capture, along with supported newsletter popups and chat widgets; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server gives AI agents tools to take screenshots, get page information, and capture PDFs. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.
