How to Print Multiple Screenshots at Once

Print several screenshots in one job, fit different images on one sheet, or repeat one image. Steps for Windows, Mac, Android, layout, and troubleshooting.

Short answer: save your screenshots as image files, select them in an app that supports printing, and choose Print. If you want several different screenshots on one sheet, choose a contact-sheet or pages-per-sheet layout. If you only want several copies of one screenshot, use a copies-per-page setting.

Decide what “at once” means

There are three different print jobs people commonly mean:

Goal Use Result
Print several different screenshots Select multiple image files, then Print Usually one image per page unless the app offers a layout
Put several different screenshots on one sheet Contact Sheet, multiple images per page, or pages per sheet A compact collage or grid
Print several copies of one screenshot Copies per page or number of copies The same image repeated

Preview the result before printing. Check paper size, orientation, scaling, crop behavior, color mode, and the number of pages.

Windows

  1. Save the screenshot as an image file, such as PNG or JPEG.
  2. Open the saved snip in Snipping Tool and choose File > Print, or open File Explorer and right-click the saved image.
  3. Choose Print, select your printer, paper size, orientation, and scaling, then inspect the preview.
  4. Print a test page if the batch is large.

Microsoft documents printing a saved image snip through Snipping Tool or the saved image’s Print command. The exact multi-file interface depends on the image viewer and Windows version, so do not assume every viewer exposes the same batch layout controls.

  1. Put all screenshots in one folder and give them clear names or number prefixes.
  2. Select the files in the image app or gallery that provides a multi-selection Print command.
  3. Choose one image per page if readability matters, or select a contact-sheet/multiple-images layout when available.
  4. Use preview to confirm that every selected file appears and that none is cropped unexpectedly.

If your Windows viewer only prints one file at a time, open the images in an app with a contact-sheet or collage layout, or create a PDF/contact sheet first and print that document.

Mac

Use Photos for different screenshots on one page

  1. Import or add the screenshots to Photos.
  2. Select multiple screenshots in the library.
  3. Choose File > Print.
  4. Select the Contact Sheet format, adjust the available size and layout controls, and review the preview.
  5. Choose the printer and print.

Photos’ Contact Sheet format is the clearest built-in route for putting multiple different screenshots on one sheet. Some formats let you resize the photos.

Use Preview for one image or a PDF

  1. Open the image or PDF in Preview.
  2. Choose File > Print.
  3. Set the number of copies, page range, paper size, orientation, and scale.
  4. Print or save the configured job as a PDF for later printing.

Preview’s Copies per page setting repeats the same image or page. It is not a contact sheet for a collection of different screenshot files. Use Photos Contact Sheet, or another app with an equivalent multi-image layout, for that job.

Android phones and tablets

  1. Make sure each screenshot is saved in Photos, Gallery, or another image app.
  2. Open the gallery and select several images if the app supports multi-selection.
  3. Tap Share or the menu and look for Print.
  4. Select a printer in the device print settings, then choose paper, orientation, color, and scale.
  5. Use the preview before confirming.

Google Pixel guidance supports selecting a printer in device print settings and printing an image. It also notes that when an app cannot print, you can take a screenshot of the app and print that image. Android manufacturers and gallery apps differ, so there is no single batch-selection workflow that applies to every phone.

If your gallery has no Print action, try its Share/Open with options, export the files to a computer, or check the phone maker’s instructions. Treat these as fallbacks rather than a universal Android procedure.

Fit several screenshots on one sheet

A contact sheet is usually the best choice for different screenshots. For document-style printing, some apps and printer drivers expose pages per sheet and scaling choices such as fit to printable area, actual size, and custom scale. Microsoft Edge, for example, provides these controls for documents. Photo apps may expose different names or no equivalent control.

Setting What it changes Risk
Pages/images per sheet How many items share one sheet More items make text harder to read
Fit to printable area Shrinks content to avoid clipping Small screenshots may become too small
Actual size Preserves the chosen scale Edges can be clipped by printer margins
Custom scale Lets you choose a percentage May distort your intended physical size
Portrait/landscape Rotates the sheet Wrong orientation can waste space

For UI screenshots, prioritize legibility over the maximum number of images. A two-by-two layout is often easier to inspect than a dense grid, but the right choice depends on screenshot dimensions and paper size.

Prepare screenshots for a clean print

  • Use PNG for sharp UI text and line art; use JPEG when file size matters and minor compression is acceptable.
  • Crop browser chrome, unrelated whitespace, and sensitive information before printing.
  • Keep screenshots at their original resolution until the print layout is chosen.
  • Choose landscape for wide web pages and portrait for tall mobile screens.
  • Check whether the printer driver is scaling or cropping the image.
  • For a large batch, print one test sheet first.

Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause Fix
Only one screenshot prints The app’s Print command handles one open file Use multi-select in a gallery app, Photos Contact Sheet, or create a PDF/contact sheet first.
The same screenshot repeats You used Copies per page Use a contact-sheet or multiple-image layout for different files.
Images are cut off Actual-size output exceeds printable margins Switch to fit-to-printable-area, reduce scale, or change orientation.
Images are too small Too many items per sheet or aggressive fit scaling Reduce the number per page or print one image per page.
Text looks blurry Low-resolution source or JPEG compression Use the original PNG or a higher-resolution capture and avoid enlarging it.
Print option is missing on Android The gallery app does not expose printing Use Share/Open with, transfer the files to a computer, or follow the phone maker’s print instructions.
Colors look wrong Printer color profile, driver, or black-and-white mode Check the print dialog’s color setting and run a small test.
Some files are missing They were not selected, are unsupported, or are still syncing Confirm the selection, wait for local copies, and use common PNG/JPEG files.
The job is unexpectedly many pages Each image is being printed on its own page Choose Contact Sheet or pages per sheet, then confirm the page count in preview.

Or skip the browser setup

If you still need to generate the screenshots before printing, ScreenshotNeo returns a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF from one GET request. Its options include full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS-element capture, device presets or custom viewports, dark mode, retina scale, custom CSS and JavaScript, waits, request blocking, cookies, headers, user agents, geolocation, resizing, caching, bulk capture, and PDF page settings. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for the option names.

Performance, reliability, and cost notes

  • Printing is usually limited by image decoding, layout generation, and the printer rather than file selection.
  • Large PNGs preserve detail but can take longer to transfer and spool. Resize only after deciding the required print dimensions.
  • Preview reduces wasted paper when a batch contains mixed orientations or unexpected crops.
  • For repeated jobs, keep a consistent naming scheme and layout preset so the selection is easy to audit.
  • When generating new screenshots with an API, use waits for dynamic pages, caching for repeated URLs, and bulk capture for batches. ScreenshotNeo bills only clean shots; failed loads and cache hits cost nothing.

Checklist before you press Print

  • Are the screenshots saved locally and in a supported format?
  • Do you need one image per page, different images on one sheet, or repeated copies?
  • Is the selected layout available in the app you are using?
  • Did you check paper size, orientation, scale, margins, and color?
  • Does preview show every screenshot and the expected page count?
  • Have you run a test sheet for a large or important batch?

FAQ

Can I print multiple screenshots without combining them first?

Yes, if the app supports selecting multiple image files and sending them to Print. Otherwise, combine them into a contact sheet or PDF first.

How do I print different screenshots on one page?

Use a Contact Sheet or multiple-images-per-page layout. On Mac, Photos provides a Contact Sheet format.

How do I print several copies of one screenshot?

Use the print dialog’s copies setting. In Preview, Copies per page repeats the same image or page.

Why does my phone not show a Print button?

The gallery app may not support printing. Try its Share/Open with options or transfer the images to a computer.

Should I use PNG or JPEG?

PNG is generally better for sharp interface text and diagrams. JPEG can be adequate for photographic screenshots when smaller files are useful.
