How to Take a Screenshot of Lazy-Loaded Reviews on an Ecommerce Product Page in India

Load the reviews you need before capturing them. This guide covers Chrome’s full-page screenshot, section captures, common problems, and an API option.

Short answer: Open the product page in Chrome, scroll to the reviews and reveal the reviews you need, then use DevTools’ More options > Capture a full size screenshot. A full-page capture includes content outside the current viewport, but it does not guarantee that reviews which have not loaded yet will appear. (See Chrome’s screenshot instructions.)

This workflow applies to ecommerce pages in India, but controls vary by site. It is not a site-specific walkthrough for Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, or any other marketplace. Follow the controls the page actually shows, and verify the saved image.

1. Load the reviews before capturing

  1. Open the product page in Chrome and navigate to its reviews area. If there is a reviews link or tab, use it.
  2. Scroll downward in stages. Pause when needed and check whether more reviews have appeared. Some pages load content as it enters the viewport; ecommerce reviews are one example of content that may load incrementally. (See Google’s guide to incremental loading and its lazy-loading guidance.)
  3. If the page shows Load more, activate it and wait for the additional reviews. If reviews are paginated, move to the page or pages you need.
  4. Check that the specific review text, ratings, and any context you need are visible. Do not rely on scrolling alone as proof that the desired content loaded.

There is no universal wait time: page speed and loading behavior differ. Wait until the content appears or the page indicates that loading has completed.

2. Capture the page or just the review section

Full-page capture in Chrome DevTools

  1. Open Chrome DevTools. You can use Chrome’s menu or the keyboard shortcut for your operating system.
  2. In DevTools, open More options and select Capture a full size screenshot.
  3. Open the saved image and confirm that the reviews you revealed are present and readable.

This command captures the whole page, including parts outside the current viewport, according to Chrome’s documentation. It captures the page state available at capture time; it does not operate the review controls for you or establish that every review has loaded.

Viewport capture for readability

If the review list is very long, capture the visible review area in several screenshots instead. Scroll until a manageable section is visible, capture that viewport, then repeat for the next section. Section captures are often easier to inspect and share when a single full-page image would make text too small.

Choice Use it when Before capture
Full size You need the page’s overall context in one image. Reveal the reviews you need and verify they have appeared.
Viewport sections Review text needs to remain legible or you need selected sections. Bring each desired section into view and capture it separately.

3. Troubleshooting

What you see Likely cause What to do
The screenshot stops before the reviews. The page may not have loaded the review area yet, or the selected capture was only the viewport. Scroll to the reviews, reveal the desired content, then use DevTools’ full-size capture command.
The image includes only the first few reviews. More reviews may load on scroll, behind a Load more control, or on later pages. Use the page’s actual controls and check that additional reviews appear before capturing again.
The review area is blank or still loading. The content may not have finished loading or may require an interaction. Wait for a visible change, interact with the review controls the page provides, and confirm the text is present.
The full-page image is difficult to read. The page is long, so the review text occupies a small part of the image. Capture review sections as separate viewport screenshots.
The layout changes between captures. Dynamic page content can change while you scroll or wait. Capture after the target section is visible and settled; inspect the resulting file for missing or shifted content.

4. Performance, reliability, and cost

The built-in DevTools workflow needs no screenshot API request or paid capture service. Its main reliability constraint is page state: lazy-loaded content must first be revealed, and a full-page command cannot substitute for clicking a page’s Load more control or navigating review pages. For a long review list, multiple viewport captures take more manual steps but can preserve readability.

For debugging a page you own, Chrome’s Performance panel reference describes DevTools performance features that can help investigate page behavior. It is not required for taking the screenshot.

Or skip the browser setup

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers, made by Yorker Media. Its capture options include full-page screenshots with lazy images loaded, selector-based element captures, wait conditions, and custom JavaScript. An API capture does not automatically click a particular marketplace’s review tab or Load more control, so confirm the target reviews are available to the page before relying on a capture.

For API parameters and response details, see the ScreenshotNeo documentation. This cURL request saves a screenshot of the specified URL:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

Replace the example URL with the product page URL you are authorized to access. ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers indicate the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.

FAQ

Does “Capture a full size screenshot” load every review?

No. It captures the page beyond the visible viewport, but you must first reveal the reviews you want and confirm that they appeared.

Do I need a special device or screenshot accessory?

No. Chrome DevTools includes a built-in screenshot capture command.

Should I capture the entire page or only the reviews?

Use full size when page context matters. Use separate viewport captures when you need review text to stay easy to read.
