How to Take a Screenshot on the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Learn every way to capture, scroll, find, edit, share, and translate screenshots on the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The fastest way to take a screenshot on the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is to open the content you want, then press the Side (Power) key and the lower Volume key at the same time. The phone captures the screen and shows a preview.
1. Use the Pixel 10 Pro Fold screenshot buttons
- Open the screen you want to capture.
- Press the Side (Power) key and the lower part of the Volume key simultaneously.
- Release both buttons when the preview appears.
This shortcut works from the inner display or the cover display. Press the buttons together rather than holding one first; holding the Side key by itself opens the power controls.
2. Take a screenshot without pressing both buttons
Google Assistant
Say “Hey Google, take a screenshot.” Google Assistant captures the current screen. This is useful when using both buttons is awkward or when you need a one-handed method.
Gesture navigation
- Swipe up from the bottom edge and hold to open the recent-apps view.
- Select the app that contains the screen you want.
- Tap Screenshot.
Three-button navigation
- Tap Overview (the recent-apps button).
- Select the open app.
- Tap Screenshot.
Power-menu fallback
If the button shortcut does not respond, hold the Side (Power) button for a few seconds and tap Screenshot in the power menu.
| Method | Best for | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Side + Volume down | Fastest capture | Press both keys together |
| Google Assistant | Voice or one-handed use | Say “Hey Google, take a screenshot” |
| Gesture navigation | Gesture users | Swipe up and hold, then tap Screenshot |
| Three-button navigation | Classic navigation users | Tap Overview, then Screenshot |
| Power menu | When the shortcut fails | Hold Power, then tap Screenshot |
3. Capture a long or scrolling screenshot
Android 12 and later support scrolling screenshots on most screens that allow scrolling.
- Take a normal screenshot with the Side and lower Volume keys, or use another method above.
- When the preview and controls appear, tap Capture more.
- Drag the crop guidelines to include the content you need.
- Save the result.
Capture more may not appear on screens that cannot scroll, such as some fixed dialogs, protected content, or views whose app does not expose a scrollable surface. In those cases, capture several regular screenshots or use the app’s own export function.
4. Find, edit, and share screenshots
Find saved screenshots
- Open Google Photos.
- Tap Collections.
- Open On this device.
- Tap Screenshots.
The screenshot preview also opens immediately after capture. If you dismissed it, use the Google Photos path above. The image is stored with the phone’s other screenshots and can be edited or shared from there.
Edit a screenshot
Open the image in Google Photos and tap Edit. Crop away status bars or sensitive details, adjust the image, and save a copy. For a scrolling screenshot, check the crop boundaries carefully because the capture can be taller than the display.
Share a screenshot
Open the image in Google Photos, tap Share, and choose the app or contact. Before sharing, inspect the image for private notifications, account numbers, addresses, or other information visible in the status bar.
5. Translate text in a screenshot
Pixel 3 and later devices, including Fold models, can use Google Photos and Google Lens to translate text in a screenshot.
- Open the screenshot in Google Photos.
- Tap the Lens icon.
- Choose Translate.
- Select the source and destination languages when prompted.
Google lists Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish among the supported languages for this workflow.
6. Troubleshooting
The Side and Volume buttons do nothing
Press the two keys at exactly the same time and release quickly. Pressing and holding the Side key first opens power controls. If the shortcut still fails, hold the Side key for a few seconds and choose Screenshot from the power menu.
The volume changes instead of taking a screenshot
The keys were likely pressed at different times. Try placing one finger on each key and pressing together. You can also use Google Assistant or the recent-apps Screenshot button.
“Capture more” is missing
Only screens that support scrolling expose the control. Try the capture from a long webpage or list. Fixed dialogs, some protected screens, and apps that block scrolling screenshots may not provide it.
The screenshot is not in Google Photos
Open Google Photos > Collections > On this device > Screenshots. Give Photos a moment to index a newly saved image, then check again. If you used a different capture app, look in that app’s own storage location.
The image contains something you did not expect
Android captures the visible display, including notification banners, status icons, and open menus. Dismiss sensitive notifications and close overlays before capturing. Crop or edit the image before sharing.
The screenshot is too tall or difficult to share
Use Capture more only for the section you need by moving the crop handles. For very long content, several smaller screenshots can be easier to read and send than one extremely tall image.
7. Practical capture tips
- Choose the method for the situation: the two-button shortcut is quickest, while Assistant and navigation controls help when one hand is occupied.
- Capture after the page settles: wait for images, menus, or loading indicators to finish so they do not appear halfway through the screenshot.
- Use the inner display for long content: the larger Fold screen shows more of a page before you need a scrolling capture.
- Review before sharing: check for notifications, private messages, and account details.
- Keep storage in mind: screenshots are image files; delete old captures from the Screenshots folder when you no longer need them.
8. Or skip the browser setup
If you need screenshots of webpages rather than the Pixel’s own display, ScreenshotNeo returns a clean PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF from one request. It accepts cookie and consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status.
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for all options, including full-page capture, CSS selectors, device presets, dark mode, custom CSS and JavaScript, waits, blocking rules, cookies and headers, PDFs, signed links, asynchronous jobs, bulk capture, caching, and usage data.
