How to Screenshot a Webpage in Chrome on a Samsung Tablet in India
Capture a long webpage in Chrome on a Samsung tablet using Long screenshot, or use Samsung’s Scroll capture when available.
To capture a long webpage in Chrome on a Samsung tablet, open the page, tap More (⋮) > Share… > Long screenshot, adjust the crop handles to cover the content you want, and tap Confirm. Save the image or share it to another app. Google documents this Chrome workflow for Android phones and tablets. Google Chrome Help: Share pages in Chrome on Android.
If that option is unavailable, take a regular screenshot with Power + Volume Down, then tap Samsung’s Scroll capture control in the screenshot toolbar if it appears. On some older Galaxy tablets with a physical Home button, the screenshot combination may be Power + Home. Features and menu labels vary by model and software version.
Use Chrome’s Long screenshot option
- Open the webpage in Chrome. Scroll near the beginning of the section you want to capture.
- Tap Chrome’s More (⋮) menu near the address bar.
- Tap Share….
- Choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the crop handles to set the top and bottom of the image. Include only the content you need.
- Tap Confirm, then save the screenshot or share it with another app.
The resulting image can include more of the page than fits on the screen at once. This is the most direct route when you want a long capture from within Chrome.
Use Samsung Scroll capture as an alternative
- Open the webpage and position it where the screenshot should start.
- Press Power + Volume Down together briefly. On a supported older model with a physical Home button, use Power + Home.
- When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll capture (the icon or label may vary).
- Continue tapping the scroll-capture control to extend the capture down the page, then finish when you have included the desired content.
Samsung describes Scroll capture as a way to extend screenshots over long, scrollable content. The control may not appear on every tablet, app, or page. See Samsung’s capture guidance.
Which capture method should you use?
| Method | Starts from | How you set the length | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chrome Long screenshot | Chrome’s Share menu | Drag the crop handles, then confirm | You want a long capture directly from a Chrome webpage |
| Samsung Scroll capture | The tablet’s screenshot toolbar | Extend the capture down scrollable content | Chrome’s option is missing, or you want the system capture route |
| Regular screenshot | Tablet buttons | Captures the visible screen only | You need just what is currently on screen |
Neither long-capture route is guaranteed to look identical across all Galaxy Tab models and software versions. If one option is absent, try the other.
Save, find, and share the screenshot
After confirming a Chrome long screenshot, use the available save or share action. Samsung button screenshots are generally available through the tablet’s Gallery or screenshot destination. If you cannot find the file, check the save destination shown by the app or sharing flow and confirm the screenshot completed before closing it.
Troubleshooting
“Long screenshot” is missing from Chrome
Check that you opened Chrome’s More (⋮) > Share… menu while viewing a webpage. If the option still is not present, use a button screenshot and Samsung Scroll capture if available. Chrome’s documented steps apply to Android generally; the exact menu can depend on the software version.
There is no Scroll capture control
Scroll capture is intended for scrollable content and may not be offered by every device, app, or page. Try Chrome’s Share… > Long screenshot route. Samsung notes that available controls and menus can vary by model and software version. See Samsung’s device capture guidance.
The button combination does not take a screenshot
Press the buttons together briefly and check that neither key is blocked or damaged. Most Galaxy tablets use Power + Volume Down; models with a physical Home button may use Power + Home. Samsung lists button condition and access restrictions among possible screenshot issues. See Samsung India’s screenshot troubleshooting guidance.
The screenshot toolbar does not appear
On tablets that have the setting, check Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder and enable Show toolbar after capturing. The path and setting availability vary with the model and software version. If you cannot find it, use Chrome’s Long screenshot option or check the tablet’s current Samsung support instructions.
The screenshot cannot be saved
Check available internal storage and try again. Samsung’s India guidance identifies insufficient storage as a possible cause on Android 13 devices. If storage is available, check whether the capture or save action completed and whether the expected Gallery or file destination is accessible.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need webpage screenshots from a script or service, ScreenshotNeo provides a website screenshot API and MCP server. A GET request returns an image or PDF. For the tablet’s current webpage, copy its public URL and replace the example URL below.
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for parameters and options.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie banners and removes known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server gives AI agents tools to take screenshots, get page information, and capture PDFs. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up free for 1,000 screenshots a month, with no card.
Frequently asked questions
Does this require a separate screenshot app?
No. The steps use Chrome and Samsung’s built-in screenshot controls.
Is the Chrome Long screenshot feature specific to India?
No country-specific behavior is established by the instructions. Google documents the flow for Chrome on Android phones and tablets generally.
Will a long screenshot capture every part of every webpage?
It captures the content available through the selected long-capture flow. Page behavior and device support can vary, so check the saved result and try the alternate method if it is incomplete.
What information would help with model-specific instructions?
The exact Galaxy Tab model, Android version, and One UI version help identify which controls and settings should be present. Samsung’s menus can differ across those versions.
