How to Screenshot a Website at Redmi Note Screen Size

Take a long screenshot of a website on a supported Redmi Note, or capture a page at a chosen viewport from your computer.

On a supported Redmi Note, open the website, take a normal screenshot, tap Scroll in the screenshot preview, stop at the end of the page you want, then tap DONE and ✓ to save. This creates a vertically extended image of the page. It does not set the screenshot to a documented Redmi Note pixel resolution or aspect ratio.

If you mean an image captured at a particular browser viewport size rather than a long screenshot taken on the phone, use the developer-tool method below or ScreenshotNeo’s screenshot API. The phrase “Redmi Note screen size” can mean either thing, and the phone model and software version affect the available controls.

1. Take a scrolling website screenshot on a Redmi Note

  1. Open the website and scroll to the point where the screenshot should begin. Make sure the page has more content below the screen.
  2. Take a regular screenshot. On REDMI Note 14, Xiaomi documents opening Control Center by swiping down from the upper right and tapping Screenshot. It also documents enabling a shortcut under Settings > Additional settings > Gesture shortcuts > Take a screenshot, including a three-finger swipe or Volume down + Power. On REDMI Note 14 5G, Xiaomi also documents pressing Power + Volume Down together. Menus and shortcut availability may differ by model and software version.
  3. In the screenshot preview, tap Scroll. Xiaomi’s general instructions place this control at the upper-right of the preview.
  4. Let the screen scroll automatically, or adjust the endpoint as the interface allows. Stop once the desired page content is included.
  5. Tap DONE, then tap ✓ to save.

Xiaomi confirms the long-screenshot feature on REDMI Note 14 and REDMI Note 14 5G. That does not establish support on every Redmi Note generation or every screen. See Xiaomi’s [general scrolling screenshot instructions](https://www.mi.com/global/support/article/KA-33149/), its [REDMI Note 14 FAQ](https://www.mi.com/my/support/faq/details/KA-529913/), and [REDMI Note 14 5G FAQ](https://www.mi.com/global/support/faq/details/KA-523879/).

2. What “screen size” means for the resulting image

A phone scrolling screenshot is a long capture assembled from the on-device page view. The research for this guide does not establish a fixed pixel width, device-pixel ratio, or aspect ratio for Redmi Note screenshots. If you need a specific output viewport for responsive-design review, choose dimensions explicitly in a browser’s device emulation or in an API that accepts viewport settings. A screenshot taken on a phone is useful for recording what that phone displayed; it is not a guarantee of a specified export size.

3. Capture a website at a chosen viewport with browser developer tools

For a reproducible viewport capture from a desktop browser, Chrome DevTools can emulate a device viewport and capture a full-size screenshot. This is a desktop workflow, not a way to extract the exact physical display dimensions of an unspecified Redmi Note model.

  1. Open the page in Chrome on a computer and open DevTools with F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on macOS).
  2. Toggle the device toolbar using Ctrl+Shift+M (Cmd+Shift+M on macOS).
  3. Select a suitable device preset, or enter the CSS viewport width and height you need. A preset is an emulation choice; do not treat it as proof of a particular Redmi Note’s current physical resolution.
  4. Reload the page after setting the viewport so responsive layout and scripts can respond to the emulated dimensions.
  5. Open the DevTools command menu with Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P, search for Capture full size screenshot, and select it for a full-page image. Use the normal screenshot command if you only need the visible viewport.

This method is convenient for a one-off image. For repeatable automated captures, scripts or an API are easier to run consistently. Browser screenshots can still differ from a physical phone because fonts, browser versions, device scale, page state, and network-loaded content vary.

4. Automate a capture with Playwright (Node.js)

The following runnable example starts Chromium, sets an explicit mobile-style CSS viewport, loads a URL, and saves a full-page PNG. Install Playwright and its browser first:

npm install playwright
npx playwright install chromium
// screenshot.mjs
import { chromium } from 'playwright';

const url = process.argv[2] ?? 'https://example.com';
const browser = await chromium.launch({ headless: true });
const page = await browser.newPage({
  viewport: { width: 393, height: 873 },
  deviceScaleFactor: 1,
  isMobile: true,
  hasTouch: true,
});

try {
  await page.goto(url, { waitUntil: 'networkidle', timeout: 60_000 });
  await page.screenshot({ path: 'website.png', fullPage: true });
} finally {
  await browser.close();
}
node screenshot.mjs https://example.com

The viewport values above are an example configuration, not a claim about a Redmi Note’s screen dimensions. Set width and height to the CSS viewport you want to test. Use deviceScaleFactor to control raster scale in the browser context; a value of 2 generally produces more image pixels per CSS pixel, with increased memory and file size. Remove isMobile or hasTouch if you want a desktop-style context at the same dimensions.

Useful Playwright adjustments

  • Wait for a specific element: use await page.locator('#content').waitFor() before capture when the page has a known readiness marker.
  • Handle slow pages: increase the navigation timeout or wait for a selector. networkidle can take a long time on pages with analytics or persistent network traffic.
  • Capture only the visible viewport: remove fullPage: true.
  • Use a different format: Playwright can write JPEG with type: 'jpeg', quality: 85. PNG is lossless and usually larger.
  • Page changes while scrolling: full-page capture may trigger lazy-loaded content differently from a human scrolling. If sections are absent, scroll through the page before capturing or wait for the relevant images and content.

5. Or skip the browser setup

ScreenshotNeo takes a screenshot from one GET request and supports PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF output. The API accepts viewport settings, full-page capture, device presets, and other capture options; use the [ScreenshotNeo documentation](https://screenshotneo.com/docs/) for parameter names and available settings.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests

r = requests.get(
    "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
    params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"},
    timeout=90,
)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`Screenshot request failed: ${res.status}`);
await Bun.write('shot.webp', res);

Cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot, and each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed; response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. ScreenshotNeo also has an MCP server with screenshot tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. See [ScreenshotNeo](https://screenshotneo.com) and [sign up for the free plan](https://screenshotneo.com/account/sign-up/).

6. Troubleshooting

Problem Likely reason What to try
Scroll is missing The current screen may not expose more scrollable content, or the installed model/software may not offer the same control. Confirm there is content below the visible area. Check your model’s Xiaomi support instructions and software version. Google’s separate Android guidance describes Capture more on Android 12 and later for most screens that allow scrolling; Xiaomi’s interface uses Scroll where supported. [Android Help](https://support.google.com/android/answer/9075928?hl=en)
The capture stops early The page may have reached the end or the scrolling capture may not continue through the current content. Stop at the endpoint offered by the capture UI. For an unusually long or dynamically loaded page, use a browser full-page capture or automation, and check that content has loaded before saving.
Some images or sections are blank Web pages often load images and content as the reader scrolls, or update dynamically. Scroll through the page first to trigger loading, wait for it to settle, then capture. In automation, wait for a page-specific selector or image readiness condition.
The long image does not appear in Gallery Xiaomi notes that Gallery Editor may need permission to certain folders to view and save scrolling screenshots. Review Gallery Editor’s permissions in the phone’s system settings. The exact permission wording varies by software build; use the available prompt or model-specific support instructions.
Power and Volume Down do not start a screenshot Shortcut behavior can differ by model or configuration. On REDMI Note 14, Xiaomi documents the Control Center Screenshot icon and configurable gesture shortcuts. Check your device’s settings and manual for its available entry points.
Playwright times out waiting for network idle Some pages keep network connections open or make recurring requests. Use waitUntil: 'domcontentloaded' and then wait for a relevant locator, or increase the timeout if the site genuinely needs longer.
The captured layout does not match the phone CSS viewport, device scale, browser, fonts, and mobile emulation settings affect rendering. Set the target CSS viewport explicitly, choose an appropriate device scale factor, and compare the result on the actual device when pixel-level fidelity matters.

7. Performance, reliability, and cost

  • On-device capture: requires no API or browser setup and is the simplest way to preserve what is currently shown on the phone. Very long pages produce taller images and may take longer to process or share.
  • Developer tools: good for occasional responsive checks; repeatability depends on setting the same viewport and browser conditions each time.
  • Playwright: useful for repeated captures and integration into scripts. Browser installation and runtime use disk, memory, CPU, and network; keep the browser lifecycle bounded and set timeouts.
  • ScreenshotNeo: avoids maintaining browser automation. Free includes 1,000 shots per month without a card; paid tiers are Starter $5 for 3,000, Growth $15 for 15,000, Pro $39 for 60,000, Scale $99 for 250,000, and Business $249 for 1,000,000. Yearly billing gives two months free. All features are on every plan. Only clean shots are billed, according to the supplied product details.

8. FAQ

Can I take a full website screenshot directly on a Redmi Note?

On supported software, yes: take a regular screenshot and select Scroll in its preview. Feature availability is model and software dependent.

Does this make the screenshot exactly the same size as the phone display?

No. A scrolling screenshot extends vertically beyond the visible display. The official instructions cited here do not specify a fixed export pixel size or aspect ratio.

Is Xiaomi’s Scroll the same control as Android’s Capture more?

They are documented flows with different labels. Xiaomi’s support steps use Scroll; Google describes Capture more for Android 12 and later on most scrollable screens. The control shown depends on device and software.

Do I need to buy an app or phone to do this?

No purchase is needed for the built-in scrolling screenshot feature on a supported device. For automated or explicitly sized captures, use browser tooling or a screenshot API.
