How to Take a Scrolling Screenshot of a Webpage in Chrome on an Android Tablet in India
Use Chrome’s Long screenshot option on Android, or try the system Capture more shortcut if it is missing. Steps and fixes for tablets in India.
On an Android tablet, open the webpage in Chrome, tap the three-dot More menu beside the address bar, choose Share, then tap Long screenshot. Drag the crop handles to include the section you want, tap Confirm, and save the image or share it with another app. These are Chrome’s documented Android steps. Google Chrome Help: take a screenshot in Chrome.
The steps are suitable for tablets in India, but the available menus depend on the tablet’s software and the page. Google’s general instructions do not promise that every device or webpage supports long capture.
Take a long screenshot in Chrome
- Open Chrome on your Android tablet and go to the webpage.
- Tap the three-dot More menu beside the address bar.
- Tap Share.
- Choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the crop handles to set the top and bottom of the screenshot.
- Tap Confirm.
- Save the image on the tablet or choose an app to share it.
Choose a shorter capture if you only need one section. A very long image can be harder to view, send, or print. The Long screenshot control may not appear for every Chrome setup or page; use the Android capture option below if it is missing.
Use Android’s Capture more option
Android’s system screenshot tool is another route for extending a capture down a scrollable screen:
- While viewing the webpage, press Power and Volume Down together.
- When the screenshot preview appears, tap Capture more, if shown.
- Adjust the crop guides to include the part of the page you need.
- Save or share the resulting screenshot.
Google documents scrolling screenshots for Android 12 and later on most screens that allow scrolling. The feature is not guaranteed on every tablet, app, or webpage. If Capture more does not appear, check your tablet maker’s instructions or use Chrome’s Long screenshot option if available. Android Help: take a screenshot or record your screen.
Samsung Galaxy tablet alternative
Some Samsung Galaxy devices provide a manufacturer-specific Scroll Capture button in the screenshot toolbar. Samsung’s instructions say to enable the Screen Capture Toolbar in Settings → Advanced features → Screenshots and screen recorder, take a screenshot of a scrollable page, then tap the Scroll Capture icon to extend the capture.
Samsung’s cited instructions are for Galaxy smartphones. Menu names and availability can differ on tablets and across software versions, so check the support guidance for your exact Galaxy tablet model if the labels do not match. Samsung India: scrolling screenshots on Galaxy smartphones.
Where to find and share the screenshot
Chrome’s flow lets you save the image or share it through another app after confirming the crop. On Pixel devices, Google says screenshots can be found in Google Photos under Collections → On this device → Screenshots. Other Android tablets may use a different gallery app or folder. Google Pixel Help: take a screenshot.
Before sharing, open the saved image and check that the top and bottom contain the content you intended. Long screenshots can include personal information farther down the page, such as account details or messages.
Which capture method should you try?
| Method | Where to find it | Useful when | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chrome Long screenshot | More → Share → Long screenshot | You are capturing a webpage in Chrome and the option is available. | Google does not list compatible tablet models or guarantee the option on every page. |
| Android Capture more | Screenshot preview after Power + Volume Down | You want to use the device’s system capture tool. | Documented for Android 12+ on most scrollable screens, not all. |
| Samsung Scroll Capture | Screenshot toolbar on supported Galaxy devices | Your Galaxy tablet offers this control. | The cited Samsung guidance covers smartphones; tablet menus may differ. |
Try Chrome’s option first while the page is open in Chrome. If it is absent, try Capture more. Galaxy owners can also check their model’s Samsung instructions.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Long screenshot is missing from Share. | Use the Android screenshot shortcut and look for Capture more. The Chrome Help instructions do not specify a minimum Chrome version or enumerate supported tablets, so the reason may depend on the device or page. |
| Capture more does not appear. | Check that the tablet runs Android 12 or later and that the screen can scroll. Google says the feature works on most scrollable screens, not every one. Try Chrome’s Long screenshot option or the tablet maker’s capture feature. |
| The screenshot stops before the content ends. | Reopen the capture and extend the crop handles to the required point before confirming. If the page itself stops loading or has a separate scrolling area, capture the needed sections in separate images. |
| Controls differ on a Samsung tablet. | Look under Settings → Advanced features → Screenshots and screen recorder for the Screen Capture Toolbar. If those labels are absent, consult instructions for the exact tablet model; Samsung’s linked guide is smartphone-specific. |
| The image is hard to read or share. | Capture a shorter portion of the page. A long, narrow image may be awkward to open, send, or print. |
Or skip the browser setup
