How to Take a Scrolling Screenshot of a Website on POCO Phones
Capture a long website page on a POCO phone with the built-in Scroll screenshot feature. Follow the steps, check compatibility, and fix common saving problems.
On a POCO phone that supports long screenshots, open the website, take a regular screenshot, then tap Scroll in the screenshot controls. Let the page scroll or choose where the capture should end, tap Done, and tap the checkmark to save. Xiaomi documents this workflow generally and specifically for the POCO X7 Pro. Menu labels and support can vary by model, software version, and the app displaying the page.
Take a scrolling screenshot on a POCO
- Open the website in your browser and navigate to the part of the page where you want the screenshot to begin. The capture starts from the visible screen, so position the page first.
- Take a regular screenshot. On the POCO X7 Pro, Xiaomi documents opening Control Center and tapping Screenshot. You can also use a screenshot shortcut if you have configured one for your device.
- Tap Scroll in the screenshot preview or its controls. The option appears after the ordinary screenshot; it is not a separate capture mode you need to open first.
- Set the endpoint. Let the phone scroll automatically, or adjust the captured area to stop where you want. Check the preview as it extends so you do not include unrelated content.
- Tap Done when the desired portion is included, then tap the checkmark to save.
Xiaomi’s general instructions describe tapping Scroll, adjusting or allowing the automatic scroll, and finishing with Done and the checkmark. Its POCO X7 Pro FAQ documents the Control Center route as Control Center > Screenshot > Scroll. These are documented routes, not a guarantee that every POCO software version uses the same labels.
Choose a screenshot shortcut
If you do not want to open Control Center each time, check your phone’s screenshot shortcut settings. Xiaomi documents this path for the POCO X7 Pro:
Settings > Additional settings > Gesture shortcuts > Take a screenshot
Available shortcuts can include a three-finger swipe or pressing Volume down + Power. Choose and enable a shortcut offered by your device, then use it to take the initial regular screenshot. Afterward, select Scroll from the screenshot controls if the current screen and app support it.
Settings names and shortcut availability may differ on other POCO models or software versions. If that path does not match your phone, search Settings for “screenshot” or use the screenshot control in Control Center.
Compatibility and limitations
Long screenshot support depends on the POCO model, its software, and the interface currently on screen. Xiaomi says some interfaces do not support long screenshots; in those cases, the Scroll option may be gray or unavailable. A missing option does not necessarily mean the phone’s screenshot feature is broken.
- For a website: try the page in your browser and make sure the page has loaded before taking the initial screenshot.
- If Scroll is unavailable: the model, software, or current interface may not support scrolling capture. Try another ordinary web page to see whether the option is available there.
- If the page stops early: scroll to the required content and capture again, or adjust the endpoint if the preview lets you do so.
- If content is missing: wait for the page to finish loading before starting. Pages that load content only as you scroll may not have all content ready at the same time.
The official POCO X7 Pro steps are model-specific. For other POCO phones, use the general workflow as a guide and follow the controls shown on your device.
Where the screenshot is saved
After you tap the checkmark, look for the result in Gallery or the screenshots album. If it does not appear or the editor cannot save it, check Gallery Editor’s folder permissions. Xiaomi notes that Gallery Editor may need permission to certain folders to view and save the screenshot.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Scroll is missing or gray | The current interface may not support long screenshots, or support may differ on this model or software version. | Try a regular website page in a browser. If the option remains unavailable, use ordinary screenshots or another capture method. |
| The screenshot captures only the visible screen | Scroll was not selected from the screenshot preview, or the capture was finished before the page extended. | Take a new regular screenshot, tap Scroll, extend the capture, and then tap Done. |
| The capture ends before the content you need | The endpoint was reached too soon, or the page did not load more content during capture. | Try again and extend the capture to the desired point. If the site loads content while scrolling, let it load before finishing. |
| The screenshot is not in Gallery | The save step may not have completed, or Gallery Editor may lack access to a required folder. | Finish with the checkmark, then check Gallery Editor’s folder permissions and look in the screenshots album. |
| The shortcut does nothing | The shortcut may not be enabled, or your model may use a different setting or gesture. | Check screenshot shortcut settings or take the initial screenshot from Control Center. |
| The page is cut off or looks incomplete | The web page may not have finished loading, or the selected endpoint may exclude content. | Wait for the page to load, position it at the correct starting point, then take a fresh screenshot and review the endpoint. |

For automated website captures from a script or service, ScreenshotNeo provides a website screenshot API. One GET request can return an image or PDF. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options and response details.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
import requests
r = requests.get(
"https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot",
params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"},
timeout=90,
)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card.
Frequently asked questions
Can I capture an entire website with one scrolling screenshot?
You can capture a long page by extending the screenshot from the visible starting point. The result depends on the device and interface support, and you choose the endpoint during capture.
Does every POCO phone have the same Scroll menu?
No. Xiaomi’s detailed POCO steps cited here are for the X7 Pro, and software menus can differ. Check the screenshot controls and Settings on your own device.
Why can I take a normal screenshot but not a scrolling one?
Long screenshots are not supported in every interface. Xiaomi says the Scroll option can be unavailable or gray when the interface does not support the feature.
Do I need a separate app to take a scrolling screenshot?
When your POCO supports the built-in feature in the interface you are capturing, the documented workflow uses the phone’s screenshot controls.
